Were your customers impacted by the Target breach, or one of the many breaches that have been reported so far in 2014? At EZShield, we are seeing an increase in Internet Monitoring alerts as a result of these data breaches. We are finding our customers’ personal information, email addresses and passwords being traded on the black market.
Still not sure if you can add value to your accounts with fraud protection?
We think you can.
Here is my mom’s story.
My mother is the most organized and diligent keeper of passwords you could ever meet. She used to keep them on a piece of paper on her desk. But it didn’t take her long to realize that did not do her any good if she was not at home and she needed to access an online account. Now she stores them all in her EZShield wallet.
Recently, my mother received an Internet Monitoring alert. She called the EZShield response center immediately. Her dedicated Resolution Specialist provided her with the details of her alert – her username and password from her Target account had been traded on the black market.
What did that mean to her? Luckily, as I mentioned, she knows exactly what her username and password were for that account, and she can refer to her EZShield wallet to see what other accounts used that same username and password. Addressing the issue was as simple as changing them, which took only a couple of minutes. Even better, catching such information being traded prevented the situation from leading to identity theft, which would have taken countless physical and emotional hours to recover from.
What are you doing to give your customers peace of mind right now?
As a financial institution, you are focused on fraud from a regulatory and compliance perspective, and, of course, from a cost perspective. What about your customers?
A partnership with EZShield means delivering peace of mind, for less than a cup of coffee, to your customers, right when they need it most.
