The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts Honors EZShield with Eight Communicator Awards. 

EZShield secures top spots in the 23rd Annual Communicator Awards for our password manager, mobile app and new-user email activation series. 

The Communicator Awards program honors creative excellence for communication professionals. As the leading international awards program, it recognizes the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video and interactive media.

The lions-share of the awards centered around user experience and design.

With more than 6,000 competing entries, this is an incredible accomplishment for EZShield.

Password Manager

These awards come at the tail-end of major improvements to our password manager. With U.S. account takeover incidence rates jumping 31 percent in 2016 – resulting in $2.3 billion in fraud losses – having an award-winning password manager on your side is more important than ever.

Our User Experience team worked diligently to retool the password manager, an essential element of our encrypted Online Identity VaultTM. Users can now “favorite” commonly used passwords and use the search bar for quick access. Additional updates include enhanced visual organization of information to provide an unparalleled user experience.

The chief goal of these initiatives was to improve overall accessibility and security for our users.

With accessibility improved, our team then turned to enhancing security through experience-based education. This included providing a strength meter alongside each stored password — giving users visual feedback on their password’s strength. Weak passwords are accompanied with messaging on how to improve them, as well as a password generator to quickly create hard-to-crack passwords.

All updates adhere to EZShield’s strict security standards, which includes triple-layer encryption and stringent data security protocols.

DashAccess Mobile App

This is the second year in a row that DashAccess has taken home a coveted Communicator Award.

The DashAccess mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices, helps alleviate the battle between security and convenience that consumers face each day. Users can store their personal information, passwords, documents and images inside their Online Identity VaultTM and access it straight from their mobile phone.

DashAccess also allows users to scan or import photos of personal documents, like credit cards and birth certificates, into their Online Identity VaultTM.

When EZShield monitoring services are enabled, information stored in the Online Identity VaultTM is regularly monitored for signs of compromise. If a threat is detected, users can receive mobile or email alerts and work with a dedicated Resolution Specialist to identify and resolve the threat.

Email Activation Campaign

Similar to the DashAccess app, our user-engagement email campaigns are also celebrating their second consecutive year being honored by the Communicator Awards.

This engagement-oriented email series acts as the first contact point for most EZShield users. They inform users of their services and acts as a launch pad for our intuitive enrollment process.

The primary goal of these emails is to engage with users and prompt them to create their online EZShield account. Once created, they can take advantage of their Online Identity VaultTM and its robust security features — including the award-winning password manager!

The series follows industry best-practices and has been integral in the high account registration rates enjoyed by our partners.

This engaging email experience is just one essential element of our multi-channel communications strategy. We equip our partners with every marketing and communications tool possible to help them effectively reach their goals.
