Baltimore, MD — For the third time, EZShield receives top honors from Javelin Strategy & Research as the “2016 Javelin Best Overall Identity Protection Leader.” As part of Javelin’s annual scorecard, which “examines the health of the identity protection industry,” EZShield also placed first in the categories of prevention, detection and resolution.
“Consumers’ value for “positive provider reputation,” is a key factor for selecting a provider. This should be top of mind across the industry to grow the market,” said Al Pascual, Javelin Research Director and Head of Fraud & Security.
Javelin also found “low cost” to be equally important as “reputation” to identity theft protection subscribers. Additional attributes that matter to subscribers include a variety of features, integration with current financial services and user-friendly interface, among others.
This consumer wish list reflects an increased need for custom services — an onus carried by providers. Not meeting these consumer demands could have a considerable impact on retaining subscribers despite the significant growth (19 percent) in 2015 of the identity protection market.
“We are pleased with how well we align with consumer wants and needs,” said Laura Bruck, EZShield VP, Marketing & Solution Strategy. “We strive to reduce consumer stress by providing high-value, low-cost solutions that tackle the wide array of identity crimes. Offering our services through trusted partners adds to the value as this enables partners to strengthen customer relationships.”
The scorecard identified a multitude of valuable identity protection services and features, which were categorized as either prevention, detection or resolution. Javelin evaluated providers based on their offerings within each area. The greatest emphasis was placed on prevention, as it remains the most effective means of thwarting fraud.
“What a tremendous accomplishment to have earned Javelin’s highest ranking among identity protection providers from 2013 through 2016. This award reflects our commitment to produce and deliver the best possible products and services to secure consumer and small business customers’ identities,” said Dale Dabbs, EZShield CEO. “And we appreciate Javelin’s detailed industry assessment to focus on opportunities for continuously improving how we best serve our partners and their customers.”
